On Saturday night, Sha’Carri Richardson announced herself as That Girl when she secured her spot on the U.S. Olympic team and became the first American poised to win gold in the women’s 100m since 1996. Sha’Carri (pronounced “shuh-CARE-ee”) already knew this fact, but in hot orange hair and nails reminiscent of the woman she could join as a world-record holder — Florence Griffith Joyner — she introduced herself to the world.
